    Only thing I cooked last week. Dad love it! Clams, the chinese style.

    New bedsheets :D

    Weekly routine for my hair, face, skin and nails. Always the same disciplined routine with different products depending on my needs.

    ========================================

    I think I have enough of short hair. It’s been about 1.5 years since I cut off my long hair and I missed it so much!! Currently, it’s the process of growing it back. Every time I got pissed off with the length and wanna chopped it off, I’ll look at this collage and remind myself that I MUST GROW IT.

    updates

    Long overdue update!!!

    Feeling very uncomfortable as my hair is at the kind of mid-length where I am trying to grow it longer, but it is extremely difficult to keep it in shape daily.

    Outfit for a wedding dinner I attended recently.

    By far my most expensive pair of heels from Rose Bullet. Worn 3 times and it rained on all 3 days.

    It’s really sweet of my darlings to think about me when they are overseas! Thanks Bebe for all these from Korea!

    Before Gene started flying, he told me “when I do fly, I will buy you goodies from all over the world”. He really did. From Japan and Korea….

    From Zurich. And if I actually posted all the goodies he flooded me with, it will be an entire post that you can’t scroll to the end unless you scroll it damn fast! Thanks for being such a darling :)

    Been cooking up a storm as well!

    Salmon with tomato and cheese omelet, Japanese curry, broccoli salad with crab meat and miso soup

    This is my first time cooking clams and it’s a complete success :)

    Oven baked black pepper pumpkin with crushed almonds!

    Had an Easter day cook out with my friends!

    So far, this year has been treating me real good. Life is fair. Life rewards people who work hard and do not take things for granted. I thank life and I thank the people who has made it wonderful.

    Just received my performance bonus and THANK YOU BOSS :D Set up my 4th clinic today. Learn a lot again!

    May is gonna be another awesome month. I know it because I’ll be heading to Bangkok on the 17th, and it’s the month of pay adjustment and pay increment!!! And possibly….a new wallet and a new bag? The last time I bought bags was May last year. Andddddd May is also the birthday month of 2 of my best male buddies!!!!

    Happiness is a choice, it in your actions and your thoughts. YOU can decide if you want to be happy or not. YOU. And I hope you choose happy. Have a happy May everybody!!!!

    (Pssst! You know, I’ve always wanted to be a motivational speaker. Robin Sharma inspires me a lot. Well, I’ve not done anything to make this career happen, but I will always be around to motivated and spread positive thoughts to all my friends! )

    Life’s been great :)
    Bought a Hario teapot as my Bodium French press is not suitable for flora teas. Current favorite mix is 3 teaspoons of apple blossom + 4 rose buds and osmanthus+wolf berry!  By the way, very happy to get it at S$36, after a 20% discount :)

    Lunch time catch up with Veron! Reminded me of our poly intern days where we end up in different companies but still do lunch meet ups! In a lot of ways, I prefer Imperial Treasure over Crystal Jade. Dessert store is having 30% off for mango dessert ;)

    Thank! You can get it from one of those huge accessories, belts and big frame spectacles shops at far east / bugis. Lens is cheap when you get it done from neighborhood shop! Non-multicoated lens cost only about $25. I’ve mine done at Tampines. Katong shopping mall is cheaper :)

    Hi babe, you look nice on the specs! May I know where u get the specs and change the lens from?

    Been to Fukuichi Japanese Dining at TripleOne Somerset 3 times. Finally had my camera with me on my latest visit! Such a pity because I had tried so many excellent dishes! Ever since the first visit with my bf, this restaurant has replaced a number of regular Japanese restaurant which I used to frequent. Currently, I frequent Fukuichi and Akashi.

    Updates from my Instagram archive - Part 3

    I like to wear spectacles more than contact lens, and I would rather stay home and read instead of heading out all the time. True story.

    Just bought 3 new books yesterday. Will be starting The Hunger Games tonight! Since the year started, I have completed 4 books.

    As I tweeted, to those who give the excuse that you have no time to read, I suggest that you bring your book everywhere you go. There, you will have time. At my kinda age reading books/newspapers/educational magazines is the only way we can improve our command of language n broaden our knowledge! Seriously, do you want to sound dull or dense during conversations with people, especially business associates?

    My not so nerdy glasses. I recalled my younger days when my mum was conned by spectacle shop uncles to buy me glasses that cost more then $200. Those looks like crap by the way. This frame, cost me $9.90. Changed the lens, cost me another $50. Cheapppp!

    Updates from my Instagram archive - Part 2

    Couple of new places I tried recently.

    Not a sweet tooth but I have a soft spot for these and they did it well!

    ===============================================

    This is Etna @ 110 Upper East Coast Road. No idea why I only tried this place now. Currently have a thing for crab meat pasta in pink lobster sauce! The one at Pasta Inc got me interested to hunt around for the best!

    ===============================================

    Dinner at Ristorante Da Valentino. Absolutely love this place. The first page of the menu is their family photo. You get to know all of them, you get to know who cook what dishes. The chefs even came out to talk to us. To be exact, I felt like I’m having dinner in an Italian family’s home :)

    ===============================================

    FINALLY. I had the crepe :D Choose the one with cheesecake, strawberries, whipped cream and chocolate syrup ♥

    My love for the place is not exaggerated!

    Snacks for my BFFs!!

    ===============================================

    During one of my lunch time hunt for good nasi padang, I stumbled upon Maison Ikkuko. Had the caramel latte and it exceeded my expectation! Looking forward for my next cup of coffee with them.

    ===============================================

    Never expected to find edible ramen in the East. But I found it. Give it a try when you’re at Century Square! It’s located at the basement.

    New places!

    Updates from my Instagram archive - Part 1

    Starting with a photo of happy colors. I’ve never say no to ice kachang. I mean, it’s colorful ice! How can you say no? :D

    Eleen’s husband drove us to Jalan Berseh food centre for this fish soup. This store operates from 11.12am(something to with fengshui timing) till 3pm, BUT while stocks last. You don’t get to choose anything except for the serving size. Big or small. Dine in only. If you want to take away, they will serve you the bowl of soup and you have to pour into your Tupperware yourself. Not exactly a friendly store, but the queue is MAD LONG. Very flavourful and what I love is the generous amount of vegetables that’s in it! However, it’s a tad too oily for those health conscious people.

    ================================================

    Currently another of my favorite food centre is Albert food centre at Bugis. I always favour this place over food court for my lunch!

    They have a couple of really amazing food stalls there. Love the claypot rice and lor mee! I do find it necessary to rave about this tau suan. This is FRESHLY made. You can see the uncle cooking it! I’ve never had a tau suan that looks so CLEAR. The stickiness and sweetness is just right. The auntie will pack all the you-tiao separately. Very thoughtful! p.s they only open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

    ================================================

    Talked about this before, will talk about it again. This is my favorite assam laksa from Penang Road Cafe. Not tasted anything better yet so do recommend if you know of any place better!
