muffin and granola from bb~♥

Thank you for the many things you have provided me.

We can’t chew gums, but we can drink water from the TAP.
We don’t have free education, but everyone of us have the opportunity to go through primary school to university.
We don’t have unemployment benefits, but our country is not in huge debts. 
We don’t have cheap houses, but our houses are not gonna fall on us ever.
We don’t have cheap cars, but you do not need to be stuck in a jam and take forever to reach home.

Perhaps I am brought up by very traditional parents. I am taught not to blame anyone for anything. I create my own path, I look out and seize my own opportunities, I work hard for what I want. How much effort you put in = what result you see. Your quality of life, is determined by YOU. 

I weight the importance between wanting things like unemployment benefits, free health care, free speech, versus things like safety, clean water, safe public transportation, safe housing, no corruption, being friends with my malay/indian mates, no stepping on spit/gums/rubbish/drain water everywhere I walk. I can go on.

People might call us a boring and ridiculously controlled country. I call it a place where I feel safe. And if you know the Maslow hierarchy of needs, survival needs and safety needs are the most basic of human needs. 

Everyone enjoyed this! Shall further innovate. Perhaps banana chocolate parfait? Add in some waffle cone chips? Nothing pleases me more then creating beautiful food ♥  

Had a cookout session with my boyfriend’s place yesterday!

I am an extremely great fan of groceries shopping. Most of the time, I go out of control in a supermarket.

Roasted almond butter and French sea salt. They have a lot of other homemade james, spread, chocolate coated nuts that I wanna try!

I’m sorry but this tiramisu just doesn’t work for me. Rather unique with a strong blend of wine but I prefer my tiramisu to be traditional. Da Paolo Gastronmia and Pearlas’s Pastry Boutique still serves the best tiramisu.

This is a WINNER. Blueberry mousse cake with soft smooth white chocolate in it!I will be back to try more cakes!

 
This is why I love siglap/upper east coast/katong. There are just endless choices of great food. Together with my boyfriend and friends, we dine out at those area once every few days. We don’t find it necessary to purposely drive out far to eat because we are already overwhelmed by the vast selection there!

Next store to try, Coccogelo! Will take some photos of the interior. IT’S A BEAUTY.
